Romans 5:1-11

Verse 1 Having been justified through faith in Christ	We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Verse 2 Through Jesus we have obtained access by faith into God’s grace	With the result that… --we stand in grace --we exult in hope =========>	We look forward with hope to the revelation of the glory of God.
Verses 3-4	We rejoice in our sufferings knowing that they bring about: Endurance/perseverance Proven character Hope that never disappoints
Verse 5 Because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.	Therefore: --We have God’s love --We have God’s Holy Spirit
Verses 6-8 God demonstrated His love toward us when Christ died for us despite us being helpless, ungodly, enemy sinners.	God continues to show His love for sinners by continuously pointing back to the Cross.
Verse 9	We are in a present state of having been justified by His blood.	We shall be saved from God’s coming wrath through Christ.
Verse 10 Even though we were His enemies, God reconciled us to Himself through the death of His Son.	Thus, having been reconciled to the Father ===================>	…we shall be saved by Christ’s life.
Verse 11	Now we rejoice in God through Christ, through whom we have received the reconciliation.
